REASONS TO USE A TRIPOD (or KING PIN JACK)
TO STABILIZE YOUR FIFTH WHEEL CAMPER

1.Some RV’ers say it works OK or is better than nothing.
2.It only costs about $100.
3.It only takes about 10 minutes to set up.
4.You don’t have to pay to have it installed or spend a couple of hours                       installing it.
5.You have plenty of space to store the tripod.
6.You can always purchase “special” between the wheel chocks that will stop              a little more of that annoying movement for about $100.
7.It only takes about 5 minutes to install the special wheel chocks.
8.You need to have wheel chocks anyway.
9.If you want to reduce the annoying movement a little more you can always               purchase jack stands to go under your slide outs for about $100.
10.     It only takes about 15 minutes to set up the jack stands under the slide outs.
11.    You have plenty of space to store the jack stands.
12.    Your total cost is about $300 and time to set up about 30 minutes every time          you move.  The fifth wheel bipod stabilizer senario would be similar.


REASONS NOT TO USE A TRIPOD
TO STABILIZE YOUR FIFTH WHEEL CAMPER

1.Most RV ‘ers say it doesn’t get the job done.
2.It may be difficult to set up if the site is not level.
3.If it has a threaded adjustment to compensate for unlevel sites, the                         adjusting mechanism is loose and negates the benefit of the tripod concept.
4.It takes up a lot of valuable storage space.
5.The addition of special wheel chocks doesn’t get the job done.
6.The addition of slide out stabilizers or jacks doesn’t get the job done.
7.The slide out jack stands are not recommended by Good Sam or many                    manufacturers.
8.The jack stands take up valuable storage space.
9.The total cost will likely be over $300 by the time you purchase the                          additional devices to go with it.
10.      You will spent about 30 minutes of additional set up time each time you set             up or 4 hours for every 8 times you set up.
11.      You will spend about 15 minutes of additional tear out time or 2 hours for                every 8 times you set up.
